MUSIC FOR THE COMMUNITY

1 Min Read

It was once one of Cork’s busiest pubs but today the Hollyhill Inn on the Northside is a vacant building and going to rack and ruin.

There are now calls on Cork City Council to buy the boarded up property and make good use of it.

Local Councillors Michelle Gould and Kenneth Collins say the disused pub could be used by the members of the Kabin Studio.

The local hitmaking music stars who are internet sensations have been working out of an old shipping container for almost 12 years.

My own personal view is that youths involved in the Kabin Studio must be given every opportunity to continue with their recordings.

It really would be a a crying shame if the City Council was to ignore the calls to purchase the former pub.

I hope the community will get behind the campaign and not allow this building to go to waste.

The youth are our future and no expense must be spared in giving them the chance to progress in their chosen field.

Good luck to all in Knocknaheeney
