A man has died following an accident in Cork this evening.
The man who was in his 50s died after he was struck by a van while visiting friends in the Glanmire area of the county at around 6 pm
Emergency services attended to the casually but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Garda are carrying out a full forensic examination.
The mans body has since been removed to the morgue at CUHT
