A man who raped and sexually assaulted 4 of his daughters has been jailed for 17 and a half years.
A father�s role is to protect his children but the man breached their trust said the Judge who dealt with the case at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork today.
The survivors were just children when he carried out the horrific crimes over a 15year period.
The man who’s in his 40s and who can�t be named to protect his daughters from being identified pleaded guilty to numerous counts of rape and sexual assault.
The court heard the children would often sleep in the same bed just to try and stay safe from their father who would often abuse them on a daily basis.
One of the mans daughters referred to the family home as “the house of horrors”.
