Drug users and their families need ongoing support, that’s according to staff at Coolmine Therapeutic Community Centre.
This year marks the centres 50th year of transforming lives.
The drug and alcohol treatment centre has just published it’s annual report for 2023 and figures indicate how important the centre is for those fighting addiction.
The report shows 2,523 addicts and their families sought help last year, an increase of 6.5 0/0 on the previous year..
Commenting on the latest findings, Pauline McKeown, Coolmine�s CEO, said
�We are marking over 50 years of service and it is clear that Coolmine�s role in supporting Irish individuals on their journey to recovery has never been more crucial.
McKeown added :� This report highlights both the transformative impact we’ve had on thousands of lives and the growing demand for our services.�
Coolmine believes everyone should have the opportunity to overcome addiction and lead a fulfilled & productive life including the most vulnerable members of Irish society.
