46 people took part in a rescue operation in Co, Cork last night.
It followed a call that a fisherman had fallen in between two trawlers tied up at the pier in Crosshaven.
One of the first to arrive at the scene was RNLI volunteer Kieran Coniry who managed to get a rope around the struggling casualty .
Minutes later other RNLI members as well as crew members with the local Coast Guard managed to hoist the fisherman up out of the water and brought him aboard a trawler.
The fisherman was then attended to by Paramedics and given the all clear.
A spokesperson for Crosshaven Lifeboat paid tribute to the stations volunteers as well as the Coast Guard, Pier staff, the Fire Service and the National Ambulance.
Well done to all on some great teamwork
