A significant security operation is being put in place ahead of a visit by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Cork tomorrow Thursday.
The British Prime Minister is expected to meet with Taoiseach Micheál Martin at a venue outside Cork on Friday as part of a scheduled summit between Irish and British leaders.
The visit, which has been planned for some time, will bring together a number of senior ministers from both the Irish and UK governments for high-level discussions. While details of the agenda have not yet been officially confirmed, the meeting is expected to focus on key issues affecting both countries.
Extensive security arrangements are now being finalised ahead of the summit, with Gardaí expected to deploy additional resources in and around the meeting location and surrounding areas.
