A man in his 70s has been arrested after he was caught wielding an axe earlier this morning in Cork
Members of the Garda Armed Response Unit raced Mount Brosna in Mayfield after receiving reports that a man was wandering around with an axe.
Garda� said the man was tasered after he refused to drop the weapon.
The man was arrested and in custody at Mayfield Garda Station.
No one was injured during the incident.
