All About Cork wants to celebrate Cork’s Unsung Sporting Heroes.
They don’t score the goals, they don’t lift trophies but every club has one and we want to salute them.
The people who line the pitches before anyone else arrives , they wash the jerseys, organise the lifts, sell the tickets, cut the grass, chair the meetings and keep the lights on.
The ones who give their evenings, their weekends, and sometimes decades of their lives, quietly, consistently, selflessly. They are the heartbeat of our sports clubs.
Without their commitment, their pride, and their unwavering belief in community, there would be no match days, no underage teams, no packed sidelines.
Over the coming months, AllAboutCork’s Unsung Sporting Heroes Campaign will celebrate these extraordinary people, the ones who make sport happen in every corner of Cork.
