From battling blazes to carrying out all kinds of rescues — including saving our furry friends — it’s all in a day’s (or night’s!) work for firefighters in Cork.
Crew members with Red Watch recently answered an unusual early-morning call at around 4am.
The homeowners had heard faint cries coming from inside a wall and contacted the fire service for help. It soon became clear the mysterious meows were coming from their cat, who had been missing for several weeks.
After carefully creating a small opening in the wall and using a Thermal Imaging Camera, the crew were able to safely locate and recover the cat — much to the immense relief and delight of her owners.
A purr-fect ending. 🐾
