Car break-ins have reached epidemic levels, with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. Under the cover of darkness, criminals are targeting vehicles while law-abiding families sleep in their homes.
Communities are at breaking point. Residents are fed up with these low-life criminals causing chaos and are demanding action.
Recently, four individuals wearing balaclavas were captured on CCTV jumping walls and checking cars from Glenville Village back to Narry Roches Cross on the Coome Road near Carrignavar in Co Cork.. The offenders were brazen, clearly aware that homes and premises in the area were protected by CCTV, yet they showed no fear and continued their crime spree regardless.
This ongoing criminality has left communities sick to death of the disruption and calling for decisive action.
A special community meeting will take place this Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Holy Family Centre, Glenville. Gardaí will be in attendance.
Residents are strongly encouraged to attend in a united effort to stop this criminal behaviour and help put those responsible behind bars.
