The already seamless passenger experience at Cork Airport is set to become even smoother, thanks to a series of new technology and infrastructure upgrades.
Faster Wi-Fi, delivering speeds of up to 200Mbps, makes it easier for passengers to stay connected, while a new car-park pre-booking system with automated number-plate recognition speeds up both booking and entry.
Enhanced self-service bag-drop and check-in facilities with Aer Lingus now allow passengers to check in bags in just minutes, and the installation of a third airbridge will make boarding and disembarking quicker and more convenient.
Commenting on the upgrades, Niall MacCarthy, Managing Director of Cork Airport, said: “These initiatives may seem small individually, but together they form part of a continuous improvement programme, where we are always striving to do better.”
Last year, Cork Airport welcomed 3.46 million passengers, an increase of 13% compared with 2024, with travellers flying on more than 50 routes to the UK and continental Europe.
