A learner driver was nabbed travelling at 132km/h in an 80km/h zone in Cork City over the weekend.
Members of the Cork City Roads Policing Unit stopped the car after recording it travelling 52km/h above the speed limit.
On closer inspection, Garda discovered that the driver held only a learner permit and was unaccompanied by a qualified driver, in breach of learner licence regulations.
As well as speeding the driver was also found to have been undertaking other road users.
The driver was slapped with fixed charge penalty notices and that the car was seized.
