Five men found guilty of murdering a father of seven in Co Kerry in 2022 are due to be sentenced this morning at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork.
Thomas Dooley bled to death after he was attacked by a group of men armed with weapons while he and his wife as well as a number of their children were attending a funeral in Tralee. Mr Dooleys wife Siobhan also suffered serious injuries .
The trial heard Mr Dooley was ambushed by the men after one of his daughters finished a relationship with one of the men who set upon him..
One of five for sentencing this morning is a brother of the victim .
A sixth person a juvenile who cannot be named will be sentenced at a later date
All six had denied they murdered Mr Dooley.
