A man has died after he was stung by a swarm of wasps at his home in Co. Cork.
It�s understood the man who’s in his 50s disturbed a nest of wasps while cutting hedges at his home in Macroom.
Emergency services were alerted but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post – mortem will be carried out but officials believe the man may have suffered an anaphylactic shock after being stung multiple times .
