Lord Mayor of Cork Launches Kindness Campaign in Schools
The Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Fergal Dennehy, has kicked off his traditional school visits with a strong message promoting kindness.
Earlier today , he visited four city primary schools and will go on to meet thousands of students across more than 130 schools in the coming weeks.
During his visits, the Lord Mayor is speaking to children about the importance of kindness and distributing over 40,000 bookmarks that encourage them to “mind each other every day.”
The bookmarks list simple acts of kindness such as sharing, complimenting others, listening attentively, and spreading joy.
Cllr Dennehy highlighted the negativity often seen online and emphasized that small, kind actions can help make the world a safer and happier place.
