The death has been announced of Catherine O’ Leary.
The mother of one who had locked in – in syndrome died at home earlier this morning.
Speaking at his home in Cork her father Pat said he and the entire O’ Leary family are heartbroken.
Mr O’ Leary said he wanted to thank the people of Cork who prayed for and supported his daughter over the year’s.
49 year old Catherine O’Leary of Carrigaline was left paralyzed from the neck down after suffering a stroke during a brain tumour operation in 2008. Catherine had been cared for by her devoted family since being discharged from residential care in 2014.
