When it comes to finding volunteers for local sports clubs etc – it can often be difficult to get people to sign up
You’ll find people can come up with a list of excuses to avoid getting involved.
The Wallace family from Cork however and are one of a kind – or maybe three of a kind.
The family are no strangers to Pairc Ui Chaoimh and instead of giving attention to people attending a match or a concert they along with a host of other volunteers were the ones receiving the attention at the venue last evening.
They and other volunteers with St John’s Ambulance packed into Pairc Ui Chaoimh to celebrate the organizations 90th anniversary.
Patricia Wallace was recognized for her 74 years of service her daughter Irene and grand daughters Sallyanne and Charlotte are also members.
The amazing Wallace family and fellow volunteers give up so much of their time and the organization is an invaluable link in communities across the country.
Congratulations to all involved and thank you for keeping us safe.
