A man in his 20s has been charged in relation to a knife attack in Cork yesterday Friday.
A man in his 30s was seriously injured when he was attacked and stabbed outside a coffee shop on the Grand Parade at around 5pm.
The injured party sustained slash and stab wounds to his back neck and chest.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
The suspect was arrested earlier today and quizzed for a number of hours before the the DPP gave a direction this evening to charge him..
The man will appear in Cork District Court once a time has been set.
