A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an incident where another man was stabbed in Cork last Friday.
24 year old Arron Bohane with an address at St Vincent�s Hostel is charged with assault causing harm as well as producing a knife at the Grand Parade Cork.
Bohane was arrested as part of an investigation into the alleged attack on a 33 year old man who was outside a cafe at around 5pm on Friday.
Detective Garda Joe Crowley who gave evidence of arrest charge & caution said the accused made no reply when charged.
Barrister Elaine Audley who represents the accused man said her client would not be applying for bail but may do so at a later date.
The court was told Bohane is unemployed and free legal aid was granted.
Garda Inspector Clodagh O� Sullivan requested that Bohane be remanded in custody to appear via video link this coming Wednesday.
The injured party in the investigation sustained multiple slash and stab wounds in the alleged incident.
He underwent surgery at CUH and has since been discharged from hospital
