In a statement a spokesperson said “The management of SuperValu Hollyhill has invited the appointment of Luke Charleton and Alan Large of EY as joint receivers, to take over the operation of the store.

Over the years, this store has been at the heart of the community, and we have been deeply involved both in the business and in local life.

We are incredibly grateful to our fantastic team and the loyal customers who have supported us. It has been a privilege to serve this community for so many years.

Musgrave is supportive of this decision and has confirmed it will continue to supply the store throughout the receivership process. The store will continue to trade and serve the community with the same commitment from the team.

Staff have told All About Cork the store is a great place to work.
