Cork Gardaí are investigating an incident in which a man was assaulted in the city on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were alerted at around 10pm following reports that a man had been stabbed on St Finbarr’s Street, located on the south side of the city.
On arrival, Paramedics found a man in his 20s who had sustained injuries during the course of the incident.
The victim was treated at the scene and then transported by ambulance to Cork University Hospital. His injuries are described as non-life threatening.
In a statement to All About Cork, Gardaí confirmed:
“Gardaí received report of an incident of assault that occurred at approximately 10pm last night, Saturday, 9th of August 2025, on St Finbarr’s Street in Cork City. A man aged in his 20s was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during this incident.”
Investigations are ongoing. At this time, no arrests have been made.
