Cork Chamber has secured first place in the ‘Best Collaboration of Chambers, Business and Government’ category at the World Chambers Competition, held during the 14th World Chambers Congress in Melbourne.
The award recognises the Chamber’s project, ‘Facilitating Sustainable & Competitive Growth through Local Green Deals’, developed in partnership with Cork City Council, which integrates climate action with economic development.
The initiative has already gained EU recognition.
Chamber President Rob Horgan highlighted the award as validation of the region’s collaborative approach to sustainability, while CEO Conor Healy noted the historic nature of the win—marking the first time an Irish chamber has been honoured at this global event—reinforcing Cork’s position as a progressive and resilient business hub.
