Traders in Cork are gearing up for Christmas and looking forward to welcoming everyone to experience the magic of shopping in the city centre over the festive season.
In the run up to Christmas ? however people should be aware that Traffic Wardens will be patrolling the streets and issuing fines to vehicles illegally parked.
While parking will continue to be free on Sundays Cork City Council has instructed Wardens to hit those who break the rules.
Examples of illegal parking include � parking on a footpath – parking in a disabled bay without a disabled person’s parking permit- parking on double yellow lines – or any other area that has a No Parking sign in place – parking in a bus stop/bus lane.
Store owners hope people will make Cork City Centre a must shopping destination over the holiday season.
