Garda� in Cork are investigating an incident where a man was abducted and then dowsed in petrol.
It�s understood the man was asleep in bed when two masked men burst into his home in Douglas in the early hours of Sunday morning last.
The culprits who were armed with a knife then made their way to a location in Curraheen where the man managed to escape.
It’s believed he then called to a number of houses and raised the alarm.
The man who’s in his 20s was taken to CUH for treatment.
Gardai are examining a number of scenes as well as viewing CCTV
