A total of 16 people are due in court this morning after fighting broke out between two groups in Cork City Centre last night Sunday.
It�s understood the fighting started In a pub before spilling out on to Oliver Plunkett St.
Dozens of Gardai attended the disturbance.
A number of Gardai were assaulted. One witness said what they saw was frightening .
Gardai had to use pepper spray in a bid to control those involved in the on street brawl.
One bystander said it had all the signs of riot but Garda� did a great job given the situation they were dealing with.
