As Cork Junior Cert students prepare to relax having finished up the exams Gardai are urging students to enjoy themselves but in a responsible manner.
Officers in Cork say It’s difficult to say no to your teenager going out after Junior Cert exams, it’s also difficult to pick them up from a Garda Station or a hospital after an incident.
Sergeant James Sweeney from Community Policing said “We know that it is a beautiful day and there is much to celebrate for many.”
The Sergeant also advised that Gardaí will be on patrol in the Lower Harbour area around the beaches and stands this evening to look out for anti-social behaviour and alcohol consumption.
Sergeant Sweeney would like to advise everyone to stay safe, patrols he said patrols will continue throughout the night.
