Gardai are continuing to question a man arrested in relation to an incident at the home of a well known convicted criminal in Cork last evening Friday
Two men arrived on a motorbike and smashed a number of windows before leaving the scene.
Shortly afterward the motorbike struck a man while he was crossing the road close to Churchfield Industrial Est.
The man who’s in his 60s sustained multiple injuries. Gardai say his condition is serious.
The two men dumped the motorbike and ran from the crash site.
A man in his 20s was arrested a short time later and a firearm was recovered.
The road where the man was knocked down remains closed off as forensic officers continue to examine the scene.
