Gardaí are investigating an incident where a man was assaulted in Cork last night 28- 6-25
The victim a man in his 30s was attacked in Liffey Park Mayfield at around 10.30pm.
Emergency services responded to several calls and on arrival found the man had been injured.
The injured party who lives in the area was transferred to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
In a statement a Garda spokesperson said “A technical examination of the scene has been completed.
Anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to contact Mayfield Garda Station on 021 4558510 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111”.
