All About Cork has learned that a number of housekeeping staff at Cork University Hospital are due to stage a sit-in tomorrow Thursday over pay issues.
It is understood that the unofficial action relates to the delayed back payment of money owed to a number of individuals in the housekeeping division.
It is believed that the HSE has agreed to pay staff what they are owed, but the administration of the process is taking longer than anticipated.
Sources within the housekeeping division say they are frustrated by the delay and feel they have been left with no option but to down tools in a bid to highlight their concerns.
