A woman is In a critical condition after being assaulted in Cork City Centre
The woman who�s in her 30s was attacked outside the former Savoy Cinema Patrick Street this evening at around 8pm.
It�s understood the woman is homeless and was being fed at a nightly soup kitchen when she was assaulted.
It�s believed a member of the charity administered CPR prior to Paramedics Gardai and members of Cork City Fire Department arriving.
The area is now cordoned off and Gardai are speaking to a number of people who may have witnessed the incident
