Gardai are investigating an incident where shots were fired at a house in Knocknaheeny Cork at around 11.15 last night.
Its understood a car with a number of people onboard pulled up outside a house at the Meadows Knocknaheeny before the occupants of the car who were all wearing balaclavas got out approached the house and fired a number of shots through the front window.
Gardai say luckily the family who live at the house were out at the time of the shooting.
Detectives are investigating and a forensic examination of the crime scene has taken place.
