Garda have arrested a woman on suspicion of stealing a dog from a car in Cork last Monday.
Little Ruby was in a parked car with the window slightly open for air when she was taken from the car parked in Moore Street at the time.
The cute canine was being cared for by Cork Grandmother Mary Reynolds while her daughter and grand children were on holiday.
Ms Reynolds had left the car to attend an appointment at the nearby Mercy University Hospital.
On her return 30 minutes later she noticed the window had been interfered with and Ruby was gone.
A devastated Ms Reynolds made a passionate appeal for information on the Neil Prendeville Show on Corks Red FM.
Earlier today and acting in intelligence received Garda carried out a search of a house in the city centre and found 8 year old Ruby.
A woman living in the house was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen property.
Ruby has since been returned to a very happy and relieved Ms Reynolds whose daughter and grand children are due home from holiday tomorrow.
Ms Reynolds says she is so so greatful to everyone who helped with the safe return of Ruby.
