Events to mark National Day of Commemoration will take place at various locations across the country this Sunday.

The National Day of Commemoration Ceremony, honours all Irishmen and Irishwomen who died in past wars or on service with the United Nations..

The ceremonies will be attended by local Public Representatives, members of the Defence Forces, Religious Leaders, and Community Representatives.

The events are open to members of the public to attend.

CORK: Fitzgerald�s Park, The Mardyke, at 11.00 a.m. (open to the public)
GALWAY: University of Galway at 11.00 a.m. (open to the public)
KILKENNY: Kilkenny Castle at 11.00 a.m. (open to the public)
LIMERICK: Grounds of Limerick City & County Council, Merchants Quay at 11.00 a.m. (open to the public)
SLIGO: City Hall, Quay St, Sligo at 1.30 p.m. (open to the public)
WATERFORD: John Condon Memorial, Cathedral Square at 11.00 a.m. (open to the public)
