Residents living in the Kilcully and and Ballincrokig areas of Cork held a protest earlier today and once again called on Cork City Council to address traffic calming measures as well as other issues of concern in the community.
Enough is enough and we aren’t going to stop shouting until we feel safe said protesters.
Locals say dodgy footpaths poor street lighting and inadequate road signage have to be sorted today and not tomorrow.
Sadly a number of people have lost their lives on the roads in the area over the course of 7 years and still nothing is happening to prevent it from happening claimed one angry protester.
Homeowners say if their ongoing calls for help continue to be ignored then politicians better think twice about calling come General Election time
