Enough is enough and we aren’t going to stop shouting until we feel safe in our community.
They are just some of the words from residents living in the Kilcully and Ballincrokig areas of Cork who for years now have been calling on Cork City Council to address traffic calming measures as well as other issues of concern.
Locals say dodgy footpaths poor street lighting and inadequate road signage have to be sorted now and not tomorrow.
Residents say sadly people have lost their lives on the roads in the area over the course of 7 years and still nothing is happening to prevent it from happening.
This coming Saturday locals will stage a protest to vent their frustration at broken promises from officials.
Residents will gather at St Catherine’s Cemetery Kilcully at 12 noon.
Homeowners say if their ongoing calls for help continue to be ignored then politicians better think twice about calling come General Election time
