Staffing levels at the country’s hospitals is an ongoing issue and has reached the point where members of the INMO have had enough.
The union says recruitment restrictions are having a serious impact on patient care.
Nursing staff say they will no longer accept a situation where it’s unsafe for them as well as patients.
The INMO will ballot it’s members for industrial action from October 14th over the recruitment embargo.
Before that however a protest will take place this coming Thursday at CUH beginning at 12.30pm
