A man in his 40s has died after the car he was a passenger in crashed outside Kinsale Co Cork around 1.30 this morning.
Gardai have confirmed the driver of the car a man in his 30s was arrested at the scene.
The scene at Ballynamona remains sealed off as officers carry out a detailed examination of the crash site.
Garda are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the single vehicle collision to make contact.
