Following yesterdays adverse weather a Boil Water notice has been issued for Macroom Co Cork.
The notice according to Uisce Eireann is to protect the health of approximately 4,194 customers supplied by the Macroom public water supply.
Customers can check if their property is included by visiting http://www.water.ie and entering the property�s Eircode or by calling the Uisce �ireann customer care helpline, open 24/7, on 1800 278 278.
All consumers affected by this notice must boil their water before drinking.
Uisce �ireann�s Niall O�Riordan acknowledged the impact this notice will have on the community, with the previous notice having been lifted last week (25 September) and assured customers that company is working to safely lift this notice in the shortest possible timeframe.
