Just over 3.5 million passengers went through Ireland�s two busiest airports � Cork Airport and Dublin Airport � in June as the busy summer season fully kicked in.
Figures published by daa, the operator of the two airports, show that a total of 308,100 passengers went through Cork Airport in June, while around 3.2 million passengers passed through the terminal doors of Dublin Airport.
Numbers travelling through both airports were swelled by many thousands of tourists arriving into Ireland for summer vacations all around the island, along with tens of thousands of concert goers visiting Ireland to see top acts such as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Pink.
The busiest day of the month at Cork Airport was Friday, June 21. At Dublin Airport, the busiest day in the month was Sunday, June 23 when just under 120,000 passengers moved through the terminals.
