Rules are rules say Garda� and an e scooter ? rider who broke the rules is now without their mode of transport.
While conducting a speed check Bandon Road Policing Unit caught this e-scooter owner breaking the permitted maximum speed limit.
The user was issued with a ticket and the e-scooter was taken off the road.
Garda� say people should note that on the 20th May this year new rules for using e-scooters were brought into law
They include – When using an e – scooter on a public road the user must be 16 years or older and obey the speed limit of 20km/h
