Cork Duo Complete 7 Ultra-Marathons in 7 Cities in 7 Days for Cancer Research
What began as a simple “what if we…” has turned into an extraordinary achievement for two Cork men, Liam Dineen and Alan Minihane. The lifelong friends have completed their ambitious goal of running seven 50km ultramarathons in seven cities over seven consecutive days — all in aid of cancer research.
Their journey began in New York, before taking them through Boston, London, Barcelona, and Dublin, ultimately finishing today in their hometown of Cork.
The challenge was deeply personal for both men, whose families have been affected by cancer. They expressed their delight at the overwhelming support received throughout the challenge and extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed.
Now back home, the duo say they’re most looking forward to one thing: sleeping in their own beds
