Gardaí are warning Cork homeowners to be aware of bogus callers offering to cut grass and hedging.
It comes after an elderly man was scammed out of 500 Euro for work left unfinished.
Officers say the men have been targeting houses in the Ballincollig area and leaving people out of pocket.
The gang members are also distributing flyers but Gardai say people should only deal with someone they know.
Gardai are also asking homeowners to report any callers who they feel are not genuine tradespeople.
