Sadly three people lost their lives on our roads over the Bank Holiday Weekend and 15 sustained life changing injuries following collisions.
Latest figures from Gardai make for grim reading.
From 7am on Thursday morning and up until – 7am yesterday morning Tuesday – 218 motorists were arrested for drink and or drug driving.
Garda� also caught 2, 150 motorists speeding and arrested over 40 for dangerous driving.
Garda� said – Anyone prepared to drive at the speeds that were detected over the Bank Holiday weekend has the potential to destroy lives, including their own.
