A man and woman have been arrested after calling to the home of an elderly woman and stole a large sum of cash.
The woman in her 30s and the man who’s in his 50s posed as as animal welfare inspector’s when they called to the house in Blackpool Cork today Tuesday 6-5-25.
After gaining entry they robbed cash believed to be in the region of 2.000 Euro.
The woman who lives alone was uninjured but was extremely shaken following the nightmare ordeal.
The culprits who are suspected of a number of robberies in the city were arrested this afternoon and are expected to be charged in relation to the crimes
