A plaque has been unveiled in the plaza at Castlewest shopping centre to celebrate Ballincollig’s victory in the 2024 Supervalu Tidy Towns competition.
The plaque celebrates the remarkable 2024 win and honours the towns dedication to maintaining a clean, beautiful and welcoming environment.
Mr. Tom Butler, Chairperson of the Ballincollig Tidy Towns Committee, expressed his gratitude and pride, saying, “The award is a reflection of the collective effort and passion of our community. We are deeply honoured to have received this recognition and continue to strive for excellence in keeping Ballincollig a wonderful place to live and visit.”
The Supervalu Tidy Towns competition, established in 1958, is an annual event that encourages communities across Ireland to improve their local environment and make their towns and villages more attractive places to live, work, and visit.
Ballincollig’s 2024 victory highlights the town’s exceptional commitment to these values.
