A man is recovering after being stabbed during an incident on Noonans Road Cork around midnight.
Emergency services responded after receiving a report that a man had sustained wounds following a row at a house.
The injured party who’s in his 30s was transferred to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
It’s understood Gardai have identified a suspect.
Detectives hope to speak to the victim once medics deem him well enough to do so.
