Gardaí are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man at a pub in Co Cork last night.
The incident happened at Allen’s Pub in Riverstick West Cork at around 9.45pm.
It is understood that the man in his late 20s early 30s began causing trouble and was asked to leave.
A short time later, however, he returned and once again caused a disturbance.
It is believed that a number of people in the bar attempted to calm him down, but he became so disruptive that he had to be restrained.
He died while bar staff waited for Gardaí to arrive. Officers and members of the National Ambulance Service carried out CPR but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The premises remains sealed off pending the results of a post-mortem examination.
