The Leaping Salmon, Blackrock
The Leaping Salmon has what they describe as “Probably the best pizza in Cork”. Known for their delicious pies, this Blackrock pub is the perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends. There’s a great buzz during Thursday quiz night, no better place to split a pizza than over some friendly competition. Ristorante Rossini, Princes Street
If you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience, look no further than Rossini. A firm fixture in Cork since 1994, Rossini knows exactly what they’re doing when it comes to pizza. You may be surprised to learn that the eponymous Rossini pizza has fresh grapes and ricotta on it. Oak Fire Pizza, Deliveroo’s Best Pizza of 2024 is rapidly becoming one of the biggest pizza offerings in Cork. Oak Fire has five locations in Cork: Douglas, Princes Street, Marina Market, Bandon, and Clonakilty. Wood fired pizza is their specialty, with an oven imported directly from Modena. Pompeii Pizza, Franciscan Well Bar
For a night out with great pizza and tasty beer, you have to go to Pompeii Pizza. A gorgeous setting in the back of the Franciscan Well is perfect for any occasion, whether you’re celebrating birthdays, promotions, or just out for the night, you have to try the pizza. Pompeii have combined classic Italian flour with their own hand milled flour for a unique Irish twist. Palmento, Douglas
If you’re looking for a nice midweek pick-me-up grab a €10 margherita from Palmento with their weekday offer. Palmento can be found in the heart of Douglas, super easy to get to and you don’t have to worry about finding a parking space. Eat-in or takeaway Palmento is dedicated to bringing traditional Neapolitan pizzas to the people of Cork. You should try the Iberico Chorizo, Spicy N’ Duja Sausage & Fior Di Latte Mozzarella. DoMa, Blackpool
At DoMa pizza is much more than dinner, pizza is an encounter with luxury. According to DoMa “great taste is never accidental”. They are not like other restaurants, DoMa is a standalone, a self-proclaimed love letter to pizza. The menu is unique and features deluxe ingredients, a strong plus for any foodies. Unconventional ingredients like stroganoff set them apart from other pizza places. If you’re a coeliac there’s no need to miss out on these unique creations because they have their own gluten-free bases.To top it all off the pizzas are cooked in a special oven from Naples for a genuine Italian feast. Goodhood, St Lukes
Another modern restaurant in Cork bringing Neapolitan customs to life is Goodhood. Their pizzas are handmade and fired in a wood burning oven for a high quality bake. The menu is classic, but not basic, more like elevated staples. Experience the buzz in the village of St Lukes as Goodhood fills in the evenings. The Curly Stu, Ballincollig and Cloughduv
Not your typical restaurant, The Curly Stu operates out of a horsebox and travels around Cork to bring the pizza to you. Catch them at their regular fixtures to try these original pizzas developed by chef Stuart Bowes. On Fridays The Curly Stu can be found in Healy’s Bar, Ballincollig. And on Sundays they set up shop at The Spreading Chestnut, Cloughduv. Stu’s pizzas are mythical and elusive, you send your order in a text with your preferred time and they will give you a slot. Pizzas are cooked in under 90 seconds in their special oven making sure they can feed the masses.
