A man has been arrested following a road traffic collision in Cork.
The incident happened outside the Longboats Pub in Ballintemple earlier this morning Friday.
The motorist, a man in his 30s, hit two parked cars but was tackled by members of the public when he attempted to leave the scene. He the went on to attack some of those who tried to stop him from getting away.
Members of Cork City Fire Brigade who responded to the incident were also attacked by the offending driver they arrived at the scene.
Moments later, Gardaí arrived and arrested the driver.
No injuries reported, investigations ongoing
