A man in his 20s who was on temporary release from Prison died on the streets in Cork last night.
It’s understood the man who was jailed last month was released just 10 days into a 4 month sentence.
Emergency services attended to the man after a member of the public found him unresponsive .
Despite the best efforts by Paramedics the man was pronounced at the scene.
A Post Mortem will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death and a file will be prepared for a inquest at a later date.
The matter will also be referred to the Inspector of Prisons.
